Puget Sound Blood Center is an independent, community-based nonprofit organization with a tradition blending volunteerism, medical science and research to advance transfusion medicine and improve patient care. A recognized leader in transfusion medicine, the Blood Center serves patients in more than 70 hospitals and clinics in 14 Western Washington counties. Patients with leukemia, cancer, burns, hemophilia and traumatic injuries depend on Blood Center research.

Our 11 centers and hundreds of blood drives each year touch the lives of half a million people each year.

Saving lives through research, innovation, education and excellence in blood and tissue services in partnership with our community.

When people need blood for surgery, trauma care, cancer treatment or hundreds of other reasons, we are there for them. When they need a bone marrow match or tissue to replace burned skin, we are there for them.

We provide medical care to thousands of patients with sickle cell disease, thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood disorders. And our scientists are doing advanced blood-related research that’s recognized around the globe.
